The main goal of this assignment is to develop a responsive website with an interactive timeline OR list, navigating to details of several design history eras from the 1950’s-today. This module is divided into two parts, where we first started with 2 weeks of design history, followed by 4 weeks of web design.
According to the assignment, the web site needed to contain an interactive timeline or list of five different eras from the 1950’s-today, leading to more information of each era. It should contain information about a few influencing designers from each time, and more details about the development and characteristics of each style. It should also parallel social events that might have effected and inspired each era.
All the content of the website must be self-prduced, both image and text. However we are allowed to use portraits and display works from designers. We should try to produce our own design elements and rewrite text from research in our own words. The target market is graphic design students.
